Padel in Stoke-on-Trent: our guide
Updated October 2026
Stoke-on-Trent is six towns joined into one city, and its padel courts are spread across them in the same loose way. There is no single hub. Instead there are two small indoor clubs, a covered block at Trentham Lakes and a couple of outdoor sites, with a member club out in the Staffordshire countryside.
As of October 2026 we list five venues with 17 courts within nine miles of the city. Eight courts are indoors and nine outdoors, six of which have a roof. Four of the five venues are pay and play.
Across the Potteries
North and east
Ace Padel (Stoke) in ST6, a mile from the centre, has four indoor courts and offers coaching. To the east, in ST2, The Hardman Centre has three outdoor courts, pay and play.
Stoke and Trentham Lakes
South of the centre in ST4 there are two venues. Padel 500 has four indoor courts, and Powerleague (Stoke Trentham Lakes) has four covered outdoor courts booked through Playtomic.
Draycott
About seven miles south-east, Draycott Sports Centre Ltd has two covered outdoor courts for members, with coaching.
Indoor or under cover
The eight indoor courts are split evenly between Ace Padel and Padel 500, four apiece. Add Powerleague's four covered courts and Draycott's two, and most of the city's padel is protected from the rain in one way or another.
The Hardman Centre's three courts are the open-air option. Covered courts still let the cold in, so a winter booking there or at Powerleague calls for an extra layer.
Prices
None of the Stoke venues was in our price sample this time. Each shows its prices on its own booking page, and peak evening and weekend slots usually cost more than off-peak hours.
On foot or by car
Stoke-on-Trent station is the handiest for padel: Padel 500 is about 18 minutes' walk from it. The other venues are more than half an hour on foot from the nearest station, Longport, Longton or Blythe Bridge.
All five venues list parking, so driving is the simplest way to reach most of them.
Finding a game
Booking systems vary. Powerleague uses Playtomic, where you can also join open matches posted by other players at your level. Draycott uses MATCHi. For the other three, their own pages explain how to book.
Coaching is listed at Ace Padel and Draycott. None of the venues lists racket hire, so it is worth asking before a first visit or bringing your own.
If you are new to booking, our guide to how to book a padel court in the UK covers the apps. We have also written about ways to find padel partners and what padel lessons involve.
