Padel in Wolverhampton: our guide
Updated October 2026
If you live in Wolverhampton, your nearest padel courts are more likely to be in the Black Country or out on the Staffordshire edge than in the city itself. Only two venues sit within two miles of the centre. The rest are a short drive or tram ride away, in Wombourne, Dudley and West Bromwich.
As of October 2026 we list six venues with 21 courts within seven miles of Wolverhampton. Ten of the courts are indoors and 11 outside, and five of the six venues are pay and play. Birmingham has its own, much longer list, so this guide sticks to what is easy to reach from the Wolverhampton side.
The city, Wombourne and the Black Country
In Wolverhampton
The nearest courts to the centre are at Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis And Squash Club, 1.4 miles out in WV6. It has three outdoor courts for members, booked through ClubSpark.
For pay and play, Padel Warehouse 52 (Wolverhampton) in WV4 has three indoor courts with panoramic glass, plus a singles court. It opens from 6am to 11pm every day.
Out on the western side, The Mount Golf And Country Club has four outdoor courts that anyone can book, and offers coaching.
Wombourne
Five miles south-west, Wombourne Padel has four outdoor courts with panoramic glass, racket hire and a café. Its hours are the longest in the area, 5.30am to 11.30pm every day.
Dudley and West Bromwich
Two indoor venues sit just under six miles away. Padel Inn Great Bridge in West Bromwich has three courts, and Padel 7 Club in Dudley has four.
Indoor courts for wet evenings
The ten indoor courts are split across three venues: Padel Warehouse 52 (three), Padel Inn Great Bridge (three) and Padel 7 Club (four). That is a modest total, so on a rainy weeknight it pays to book ahead.
None of the 11 outdoor courts is listed as covered. Wombourne, The Mount and the Lawn Tennis club are all open to the weather, which is pleasant in summer and worth checking against the forecast from autumn onwards.
Court prices
We sampled two venues on 4 October 2026. These are prices for a whole court per hour, and peak and off-peak rates differ:
- Padel Warehouse 52: from £20 off-peak, up to £35 at peak.
- Wombourne Padel: from £23, up to £32 at peak.
Shared by four players, that works out at between £5 and roughly £9 each. The other venues list their prices on their booking pages.
By tram, train or car
The West Midlands Metro is the useful line here. Padel 7 Club is four minutes' walk from the Flood Street stop, Padel Inn Great Bridge 11 minutes from Great Bridge, and Padel Warehouse 52 about 16 minutes from Priestfield.
The other three are easier by car. Every venue in this guide lists parking, which matters most for Wombourne and The Mount, where the nearest station is more than an hour's walk away.
Booking apps, coaching and open matches
Five of the six venues use Playtomic. Besides booking a court, it lets you join open matches posted by other players, so you can fill a gap in your four or meet people at your level. The Lawn Tennis club takes bookings through ClubSpark.
Coaching is listed at The Mount, and racket hire at Wombourne Padel.
For a walk-through of the apps and how costs are split, see our guide on booking a padel court in the UK. There are suggestions for finding padel partners too, and a look at what lessons involve if you want a coach.
Birmingham and further afield
Birmingham is 12 miles away and has many more venues, so it is worth a look if you work or travel that way. Solihull is 19 miles.
A little further are Worcester and Shrewsbury (both 27 miles), Coventry (29), Stoke-on-Trent (30) and Derby (36).
The list above is kept up to date as venues open, add courts or change how you book, so check it before you set off. If outdoor padel in an English winter is on the cards, our guide to what to wear and court etiquette will help.
