Padel in Solihull: our guide
Updated October 2026
Padel in Solihull mostly happens at clubs that already had a sport of their own: tennis, cricket, rugby and golf. For anyone living in the borough, that means courts tucked into familiar grounds a mile or two from home, with one dedicated indoor centre a little further out towards Birmingham.
As of October 2026 we list six venues with 23 courts within six miles of Solihull town centre. Only six courts are indoors, but 11 of the 17 outdoor courts have a roof over them. Four venues are pay and play, and two are for members.
Around the town, then towards Moseley and Tyseley
Solihull itself
Closest to the centre, Solihull Arden Club has three outdoor courts for members, under a mile from the town. David Lloyd (Solihull Cranmore) is also members only, with three covered outdoor courts and coaching.
For pay and play, Moseley Cricket Club, two miles out in B90, has four covered outdoor courts booked through Playtomic. In the B93 area towards Dorridge, Four Ashes Golf Centre has three outdoor courts open to anyone.
Over the Birmingham border
About four miles west, two more venues fall inside our radius. Core Padel (Tyseley) has six indoor courts, the only indoor padel on this list. Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club has four covered outdoor courts, pay and play.
Roofs and open courts
Core Padel's six courts are the only fully indoor option. The covered courts make up most of the rest: four at Moseley Cricket Club, four at the rugby club and three at David Lloyd. A roof keeps the rain off, though on a cold night you are still playing in the open air.
Solihull Arden Club and Four Ashes are uncovered, so check the forecast before booking those.
Prices
None of these venues was in our price sample, so we have no figures to quote. Each publishes its rates on its booking page, where you will usually see different prices for peak and off-peak hours.
Stations and parking
Solihull station, on the Chiltern line between Birmingham and London, is ten minutes' walk from Solihull Arden Club. Core Padel is eight minutes from Tyseley station. Four Ashes is 23 minutes from Dorridge, and the rugby club about 25 minutes from Yardley Wood.
All six venues list parking, so the car is the simple choice for most of them.
Booking and meeting players
Moseley Cricket Club and Core Padel use Playtomic, where you can book a court or join an open match that another player has posted. It is a useful way to make up a four when your usual group is short.
David Lloyd is the one venue here listing coaching, and none lists racket hire, so bring your own or borrow one for a first game.

Nearby cities
Birmingham, seven miles away, has a far longer list of venues and is the natural next stop. Coventry is 11 miles east, Wolverhampton 19 and Worcester 24.
Further out are Derby and Cheltenham (both 38 miles) and Northampton (39).
The list above is kept up to date as venues open or change how they take bookings. If you are picking up a racket for the first time, our beginner's guide to padel explains how a game works.
