Padel in Nottingham: our guide
Updated October 2026

Most cities keep their padel at the edges, where there is room for a big shed or a row of outdoor courts. Nottingham does the opposite. Within a mile and a quarter of the city centre there are 20 courts, 15 of them indoors, so a game after work can be a short walk from the station.
As of October 2026 we list 11 venues with 43 courts within nine miles of the centre, 18 of them indoor. Beyond the central cluster, the rest spread along the Trent and out into the countryside towards Derbyshire and the Wolds.
Close to the centre, then out along the Trent
The central cluster
Two of the biggest indoor venues sit a short way apart in the NG2 postcode. Advantage Padel has eight indoor courts, the most of any venue in the area, booked through Padel Mates. Pure Padel Nottingham has seven indoor courts with panoramic glass, booked on Playtomic, and is open from 6am to 10pm every day.
Sharing a postcode with Pure Padel, Nottingham Padel Centre lists four outdoor courts on a pay-and-play basis. In NG7, Centre Court Nottingham has a single outdoor court for private use, booked through MATCHi.
West Bridgford and the university
Across the river, David Lloyd West Bridgford has two outdoor courts for members, with coaching. West of the centre, Nottingham Tennis Centre has three covered courts, also for registered members, booked through Gladstone and with coaching on offer.

East along the river
At Holme Pierrepont, home of the National Water Sports Centre, Barrio Padel has four covered courts. It is one of only two venues here with racket hire, and it lists a café and accessible facilities. Bookings go through Padel Mates.
West: Stapleford, Ilkeston and Trent Lock
Out west, Stapleford Community Pavilion has three outdoor courts with coaching, booked on Gladstone. Over the county line in Ilkeston, Rutland Sports Park has four outdoor courts. Down where the Trent meets the Soar, Trent Lock Golf and Country Club has four outdoor courts, open from 9am to 5pm according to our listing.
South: Wysall
The farthest venue in range is Wysall Padel Barn, about eight miles south. It has three indoor courts, including a singles court, plus racket hire and a café, all booked on MATCHi.
Choosing between them comes down to what you need. For a quick indoor game near the centre, Advantage and Pure are the obvious pair. If you want to borrow a racket and have a coffee afterwards, Barrio Padel and Wysall are the only two that list both. Singles players have one choice: Wysall has the only singles court in the area.
Indoor, covered or open to the sky
Nottingham is well placed for wet weather. Eighteen of the 43 courts are fully indoor, at Advantage Padel, Pure Padel and Wysall, and the first two are close enough to the centre that you can reach them without a car.
Seven more courts are covered: Barrio Padel's four and Nottingham Tennis Centre's three. A roof keeps a game going through a shower, but these are still open-sided, so winter evenings will feel cold. Everything else is outdoors, and Trent Lock's daytime hours make it a fair-weather choice in the dark months.
What it costs
We do not have a sampled price for any Nottingham venue yet. Most of them publish their rates on their booking page or app, and you will see the price when you pick a slot. Peak evenings and weekends usually cost more than off-peak daytime slots, so check both if you are flexible.
For a sense of scale, the LTA put the average off-peak booking across the UK at about £27 per court per hour in its March 2026 figures, roughly £7 each for four players. Members' clubs work differently, with a membership fee first.
Getting there
Seven of the 11 venues are within a mile of a station or a stop on the NET tram. Pure Padel and Nottingham Padel Centre are both about ten minutes' walk from Nottingham station. Nottingham Tennis Centre is four minutes from the University of Nottingham tram stop, and Centre Court is ten minutes from High School. David Lloyd West Bridgford is 14 minutes from Wilford Lane.
Advantage Padel is about 21 minutes on foot from the Station Street stop, and Trent Lock is 15 minutes from Long Eaton station. The rest are easier by car: Barrio Padel and Wysall have no station nearby, and Stapleford and Rutland Sports Park are each about half an hour's walk from the closest one.
Parking is listed at every venue except Centre Court.
Finding a game in Nottingham
Nottingham has no single dominant app, so you may end up with more than one installed. Advantage Padel and Barrio Padel use Padel Mates, Centre Court and Wysall use MATCHi, Pure Padel uses Playtomic, and the tennis centre and Stapleford book through Gladstone. Padel Mates and Playtomic both let you join open matches posted by other players, which helps if you are one short. Our guide on how to book a padel court in the UK goes through the apps.
Five venues list coaching: Pure Padel, Advantage Padel, David Lloyd West Bridgford, Nottingham Tennis Centre and Stapleford. Racket hire is listed only at Barrio Padel and Wysall, so check before turning up empty-handed anywhere else.

More courts planned
Padel House Nottingham has planning approval for ten indoor courts in the city. No opening date has been given yet. If it goes ahead at that size it would be the largest venue in the area. We track it on our courts opening soon page.
