Padel in Glasgow: our guide
Updated October 2026
Glasgow's padel courts follow the river more than the city grid. Nearly half of them sit west of the centre, along the Clyde from Govan out to Renfrew and Clydebank, with a smaller group across the Southside and a few further out in Paisley, Milngavie and East Kilbride.
As of October 2026 we list 13 venues within 10 miles of the centre, with 36 courts between the ones that publish a count. Of those, 23 are indoor and 13 outdoor, and 11 of the outdoor courts sit under a canopy. Given Glasgow's reputation for rain, the roof count is the first thing to check.
From Govan to the Southside: where the courts are
Near the centre
The closest listing to the middle of town is Game4Padel Glasgow City Padel, under a mile out in G4 and bookable on MATCHi. Our listing doesn't yet hold a court count for it, so check the booking page before you plan a group session around it.
West, along the Clyde
This is where the bulk of the indoor courts are. Racket Barn Glasgow in Govan has six indoor courts alongside pickleball, with changing rooms, and it's a two-minute walk from Govan Subway station.
North of the river, Glasgow Club Scotstoun opened three indoor courts on 20 April 2026. It's council-run, and you can book eight days ahead through the Glasgow Club app, on the web or in person.
Out at Renfrew there are two options. Soul Padel Braehead has four canopied courts on Playtomic, open 7am to 10pm every day. David Lloyd Glasgow Renfrew has four indoor courts, but they're for Platinum members only.
Further along, Game4Padel Great Western Golf in Clydebank has three canopied courts open to members and non-members, priced per player and booked on MATCHi. South of the river, Powerleague Paisley has four canopied courts on Playtomic, open 9am to 10.30pm daily.
The Southside
The Court Padel & Pickleball Club in G45 has four indoor courts, booked on Playtomic and open 7am to 11pm seven days a week, with parking and changing rooms.
Closer in, Newlands LTC in G43 appears in our data without court numbers or access details, so contact the club first. Out by Rouken Glen, David Lloyd Glasgow Rouken Glen has two outdoor courts for Platinum members.
East and further out
On the east side, Golf It! Glasgow runs padel with Game4Padel, books through MATCHi and offers coaching; we don't have a court count, so check access with the venue.
To the north, Nuffield Health Milngavie has one indoor court for members, booked through ClubSpark. To the south-east, It's Padel in East Kilbride has five indoor courts on Playtomic, though planning permission was refused on 25 August 2026 and its future is uncertain. Check it's still taking bookings before you travel.
Staying dry: indoor and covered courts
If you want a roof and walls, the indoor courts are at Racket Barn (six), The Court (four), Scotstoun (three) and It's Padel (five), plus the members' courts at David Lloyd Renfrew and Nuffield Milngavie. That's 23 indoor courts in all, and the three biggest pay-and-play sets (Racket Barn, It's Padel and The Court) are all south of the river.
The canopied courts at Soul Padel Braehead, Powerleague Paisley and Great Western Golf keep the rain off the surface but leave the sides open, so dress for the weather in winter. The only fully open-air courts in our list are the two at David Lloyd Rouken Glen.
What a court costs
None of the Glasgow venues in our list has a sampled price yet, so we can't give you a local range. Most venues show their prices on the booking page in Playtomic, MATCHi or the Glasgow Club app, and peak evening slots usually cost more than daytime ones.
Two things to bear in mind when you compare. Great Western Golf prices per player rather than per court, so multiply by four. And the David Lloyd and Nuffield courts sit behind a membership, so the court hour is only part of the cost.
Getting there by Subway, train or car
Racket Barn is the easy one without a car: Govan is on the Subway's circle, two minutes from the door. Several others are a short walk from a rail station:
- Powerleague Paisley, 11 minutes from Paisley Canal
- Glasgow Club Scotstoun and Nuffield Milngavie, 14 minutes from Scotstounhill and Milngavie
- Great Western Golf, 15 minutes from Drumry
- David Lloyd Rouken Glen, 19 minutes from Patterton
- The Court, 24 minutes from Cathcart
Most of the venues outside the centre list parking, including The Court, Scotstoun, Soul Padel Braehead, Powerleague Paisley and Great Western Golf. Racket Barn and It's Padel don't record parking in our data, so check before you drive.
Finding a game
Booking here is split between apps. Playtomic covers The Court, Soul Padel Braehead and Powerleague Paisley; MATCHi covers the three Game4Padel sites; Scotstoun uses the Glasgow Club system. Having both Playtomic and MATCHi on your phone covers most of the city. Our guide to booking a court in the UK explains how each works.
Playtomic's open matches let you join a game that's short of players, filtered by level, which is the quickest way in if you don't yet have a regular four. We cover that and other routes in finding padel partners.
Only Golf It! lists coaching in our data, and none of the Glasgow venues records racket hire, so ask when you book if you need a racket. If you're starting out, our look at padel lessons covers what a first session usually involves.
More indoor courts on the way
Two large indoor builds are listed as opening soon. Pure Padel Glasgow is due in winter 2026 with 10 indoor courts. Slazenger Padel Club Braehead, in Renfrew, also plans 10 indoor courts, with no opening date given yet. Both would add more indoor courts than any venue in the city has now. You can follow them on our courts opening soon page.
The list above is kept up to date as venues add courts, change access or open their doors, so check it before you book. If this will be your first game, start with our beginner's guide to padel.
