Padel in Preston: our guide
Updated October 2026
Padel around Preston is overwhelmingly an indoor game. Of the 35 courts we list within nine miles of the city, 29 have a roof and walls. In a county with Lancashire's rainfall, that makes booking ahead a lot less of a gamble.
As of October 2026 there are nine venues in that radius. Five are in Preston itself, two are in Chorley and two are over in Blackburn, right on the edge. Seven of the nine are pay and play, and a university project should add outdoor courts in 2027.
Preston, Chorley and across to Blackburn
Central Preston
The closest courts to the centre are at Just Padel (Preston), two indoor courts six minutes' walk from Preston station, with racket hire and coaching. A little further out in PR1, Padel Republic (Preston) has eight indoor courts, the most in Preston.
North and west of the centre
In PR2, Fr Padel has three indoor courts. Performance Padel (Preston), about two and a half miles out, has four indoor courts behind panoramic glass, a café, racket hire, and is listed as accessible. It opens from 6am to 11pm every day.
Further north at Broughton, Broughton & District Club has two outdoor courts and takes pay-and-play bookings.
Chorley
Six miles south, Bounc has four indoor courts five minutes on foot from Buckshaw Parkway station. David Lloyd (Chorley) has three covered outdoor courts with coaching, for members.
Blackburn
At the far edge of the radius, nearly nine miles east, Nexo Padel Club And Academy has eight indoor courts, 12 minutes from Blackburn station. Blackburn Northern has one outdoor court for members. The Blackburn page, linked below, covers that side in more detail.
Plenty of roofs
With 29 indoor courts, a wet evening rarely rules out a game here. Padel Republic and Nexo have eight each, and Bounc, Performance Padel, Fr Padel and Just Padel add between two and four apiece.
Only six courts are outside. David Lloyd's three in Chorley are covered, while Broughton's two and the single court at Blackburn Northern are open to the weather.
Prices
One venue had prices in our sample. On 4 October 2026, a court at Performance Padel cost from £42 an hour off-peak to £48 at peak, for the whole court, so split four ways it comes to about £10.50 to £12 each.
Every club sets its own off-peak and peak rates, and the other venues publish their prices on their booking pages.
By train or car
Preston is a main-line railway hub, and two venues are a short walk from a station: Bounc, five minutes from Buckshaw Parkway, and Just Padel, six minutes from Preston. Nexo is 12 minutes from Blackburn station.
Padel Republic and Fr Padel are both a 20 to 25 minute walk from Preston station. Performance Padel and Broughton are much further out on foot, so most players will drive; every venue lists parking.
Finding people to play
Four venues use Playtomic: Just Padel, Performance Padel, Bounc and Blackburn Northern. On Playtomic you can join open matches at your level as well as book a whole court, which helps when you have fewer than four. For the other clubs we have no booking app listed, so check their websites.
Coaching is listed at Just Padel, David Lloyd (Chorley) and Blackburn Northern, and racket hire at Just Padel and Performance Padel.
