Padel in Hull: our guide

Updated October 2026

Court De Padel (Hull), 8 indoor courts in Kingston Upon Hull

Padel around Hull is spread between the west of the city, the villages towards the Humber Bridge and a farm out in the East Riding. As of October 2026 there are five venues with 17 courts within nine miles of the centre.

The split is close to even, with nine indoor courts and eight outdoor, and every one of the outdoor courts has a roof. Four of the five venues are pay and play, so most of the courts here are open to anyone who books.

West Hull, Cottingham, Hessle and beyond

West Hull

Two venues sit close together in the HU5 postcode area, a little over two miles from the centre. Court De Padel (Hull) is the largest in the area, with eight indoor courts, panoramic glass and a singles court. It is also the only venue here listing coaching and racket hire.

In the same postcode area, Active+ has three covered outdoor courts, pay and play.

Cottingham and Hessle

North-west of the city, Cottingham Lawn Tennis Club has two covered outdoor courts for members, booked through MATCHi.

In Hessle, near the north end of the Humber Bridge, Tc60 Padel Club has three covered outdoor courts and is pay and play.

Out in the East Riding

Shelby Farm Padel at Benningholme, about six miles out, has a single indoor court, also pay and play.

Roofs everywhere

Hull is an easy place to play through the winter, because no court in the area is fully open to the sky. Court De Padel's eight and the one at Shelby Farm are indoors. The outdoor courts at Active+, Tc60 and Cottingham all have a cover over them.

A roof keeps the rain off, but those courts are still open at the sides, so dress for the temperature in winter.

Prices

We have not sampled prices for the Hull venues yet. Most publish their rates on their booking page, and peak and off-peak times are usually priced differently, so check the slot you want before booking.

Getting there

Cottingham Lawn Tennis Club is the easiest to reach by train, 12 minutes' walk from Cottingham station. Tc60 is 26 minutes on foot from Hessle station.

The two west Hull venues are more than 40 minutes' walk from Hull Paragon, so a bus, bike or car makes more sense. Shelby Farm is a drive. Every venue except Cottingham Lawn Tennis Club lists parking.

Booking and finding players

Court De Padel and Active+ take bookings on Playtomic, which also lets you join open matches that other players have posted, a handy way to find a fourth. Cottingham uses MATCHi.
