Padel in Northern Ireland: our guide

Updated October 2026

Let’s Go Padel Carryduff, 11 covered courts

For a small country, Northern Ireland has a lot of padel. As of October 2026 we list 18 venues with 88 courts, more courts than Scotland or Wales, and 61 of them are indoors. All but one of the venues are pay and play, so almost everywhere you can book a court without a membership.

The spread is unusual too. Belfast has the largest group, but many of the biggest sites are in county towns: Derry, Lurgan, Moira, Omagh and Ballygawley each have six or more indoor courts.

One point on how the sport is run: the LTA's role as governing body for padel covers Great Britain, which doesn't include Northern Ireland. Our guide to padel in the UK covers the British side of the story.

Belfast and the county towns

Belfast and its edges

The Belfast page covers nine venues and 44 courts, half of all the courts in Northern Ireland. Four venues carry a Belfast address, with 15 courts, 11 of them indoors. Our Belfast guide takes them one at a time.

Just south of the city, Carryduff has a single venue with 11 outdoor courts. To the north, Ballyclare has four courts, two indoor and two outdoor, and Antrim has four outdoor courts. Bangor, on the County Down coast, has two indoor courts.

Lagan Valley and County Armagh

Heading south west from Belfast, Moira has eight indoor courts and Lurgan nine, both at single venues. Newry, further south, has two outdoor courts.

The north west and Tyrone

Derry has one venue with ten indoor courts, the largest indoor site in Northern Ireland. In County Tyrone, Omagh and Ballygawley have six indoor courts each.

The north coast and mid Antrim

Coleraine has five indoor courts and Ballymoney two. Inland, Ballymena has four outdoor courts at Galgorm Castle.

Where to start

If you're in or near Belfast, the city page gives you the widest choice, with indoor and outdoor courts within a short drive of each other. Further out, the nearest indoor venue is usually the one to try first: Derry for the north west, Omagh or Ballygawley for Tyrone, Coleraine for the north coast, and Lurgan or Moira for the area between Belfast and Armagh.

County Fermanagh has no confirmed courts yet, so players there face the longest trips for now, though that should change when the Enniskillen venue opens.

The largest venues

One operator stands out. Let's Go Padel runs eight of the twelve largest venues listed here, and every venue in this list is pay and play.

Each venue page shows how that site takes bookings, so check it before you set off.

Towns beyond Belfast

Northern Ireland's only city page is Belfast, so the rest of the map is town by town. Derry (ten courts), Lurgan (nine), Moira (eight), Omagh and Ballygawley (six each) and Coleraine (five) are all indoor venues.

Ballygawley is a village in County Tyrone, and its venue has as many indoor courts as Omagh's. Further west, Enniskillen has a listing but no courts confirmed yet, and a new venue is on the way there.

Indoor courts and winter play

Of the 88 courts, 61 are indoors and 25 are outside, which puts Northern Ireland's indoor share at about seven courts in ten. Apart from Carryduff, every venue here with five or more courts is indoors.

Most of the outdoor courts are at Carryduff, Antrim, Ballymena, Ballyclare and Newry. For winter evenings, the indoor venues in Belfast, Lurgan, Moira and Derry are the dependable choice, and the venue pages show opening hours before you book.

New courts on the way

  • House of Padel Belfast gave the end of September 2026 for eight indoor courts in the city. That would take the indoor courts with a Belfast address from 11 to 19.
  • Let's Go Padel Enniskillen has four indoor courts opening soon.

Our courts opening soon page follows both and updates when they take their first bookings.

Every venue in Northern Ireland that we know of is in the list above, in alphabetical order and kept up to date as courts open or change how they take bookings. Before your first game, how to book a padel court in the UK explains the apps, prices and what to check first.
