Padel in Ipswich: our guide

Updated October 2026

Ipswich has a small padel map so far. As of October 2026 we list five venues within nine miles of the town centre, with ten courts counted between them: six indoors and four outside.

Most of those indoor courts are in one place, on the north-west side of town. The rest are at clubs in the villages just south-west of Ipswich and in the East Suffolk countryside.

North-west Ipswich and the Copdock clubs

Ipswich

The Warehouse @ Ipswich, in the IP1 postcode area about two miles from the centre, has six indoor courts. It is pay and play and the only venue in the area listing coaching.

Ipswich Padel Club, also in IP1, is listed as pay and play with MATCHi booking, but we do not have a court count for it yet.

Copdock and Washbrook

Two sites in Copdock and Washbrook each have a pair of outdoor courts. Copdock & Washbrook Recreation Ground books through MATCHi; check with the venue how access works. Copdock & Old Ipswichian Cricket Club is listed for members.

East Suffolk

Clopton Padel, about seven and a half miles out, is pay and play on MATCHi. As with Ipswich Padel Club, its court details are still to come.

Indoor and outdoor

For a guaranteed dry game, The Warehouse is the one to book: all six of its courts are indoors. The four Copdock courts are outdoors and are not listed as covered, so check the forecast first.

Prices

We have no sampled prices for Ipswich yet. The venues using MATCHi show their rates when you pick a slot, and peak and off-peak times usually cost different amounts.

Getting there

None of the venues is within a mile of a station. The Warehouse is about 48 minutes' walk from Westerfield, and the Copdock clubs well over an hour from Ipswich station, so most people will drive or cycle. The Warehouse and both Copdock sites list parking.

Booking and finding a game

MATCHi is the booking app here, used by four of the five venues. You can see free slots and book a court in it, and some clubs also run activities and sessions through the app.

No venue lists racket hire, so ask when you book if you do not have your own. Our guide to booking a padel court in the UK explains the apps. For partners, try our ideas on finding people to play with, and for coaching at The Warehouse, read up on what lessons involve.

Colchester, Chelmsford and Norwich

Colchester is 16 miles away. Further out are Chelmsford (36 miles) and Norwich (40).

The list above is updated as venues add courts or change their booking, so it will fill in the missing details as they arrive. If you need a racket of your own, the racket buying guide is a sensible first read.
