Heritage

XCALION is the padel brand of AEON-T Composites Technologies S.L., a company registered in Madrid and based in Leganés. The company says it builds on expertise in next-generation materials from the aerospace industry.

The brand states that its rackets are the result of ten years of research, development and innovation and more than 500 prototypes. The name is a nod to Excalibur, which the brand uses as its central story.

At the heart of the brand is ALMA, a carbon material the company describes as patented, exclusive to XCALION and co-financed by the European Space Agency. XCALION says the higher fibre density makes rackets lighter, stiffer and more resistant, with less vibration.

Production is in Spain using what the brand calls a fully digitalised, robotised process with strict quality control, in contrast to the largely hand-built process used for most rackets. Customised rackets are made to order in three to five working days.

XCALION publishes durability testing: its homepage cites impact tests at over 200 km/h at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, while its FAQ cites five times the impact resistance, certified by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

The 2026 range has five rackets built on one lightweight platform, plus bags, accessories and apparel. Former world number one Patty Llaguno has a signature Unum+ H1.

In the UK and Ireland, NINEPADEL describes itself as the sole XCALION distributor.
