Heritage
Volt began in 2016 when Pedro Brito e Cunha, then in international marketing and sales at Sogrape, set up the brand with a friend. Both already played padel and struggled to find rackets that combined performance with a design they liked.
From the start production was subcontracted to a factory in Pakistan, which ECO reported in 2025 still makes Volt's rackets, balls and bags. The founder tested the idea first in Portugal, the market he knew best.

Brito e Cunha has said he wanted a range that was easy to understand, rather than 20 or 30 similar models, and chose to communicate in English with a relatively small portfolio and careful design aimed at players investing in a good racket.
Growth came quickly after the pandemic. In 2021 Volt reported about 700,000 euros in turnover, up 300 per cent on 2020, with 85 per cent from exports to 45 countries; two years earlier Portugal had accounted for 75 to 80 per cent of sales. Turnover reached 1.3 million euros in 2022.
The racket line is numbered by playing character, from the control-focused 600 and 800 to the power-focused 950 and 1000. The Volt 1000 was presented in March 2022 as Powered by Silingo, after World Padel Tour player Agustín Gómez Silingo. A Volt 500 Junior followed in 2023, and the fifth generation (V5) was completed in March 2026.

Volt has added backpacks, a duffel bag, clothing for men and women, beach tennis gear and the Booster, a rubber cap fitted to the base of the handle that the company says is exclusive to the brand.
In December 2025 Volt announced it was the first and only padel racket brand stocked by Harrods in London. ECO reported the UK as Volt's fourth market after Portugal, Spain and the United Arab Emirates, with around 7,000 rackets sold a year and international markets making up 80 per cent of sales.
