Royal Padel says that in 1991 there were only two padel brands in Spain and that it was one of them. That year it presented its first collection of padel rackets, a short range of three models.

The first Royal Padel rackets were made of wood. The company describes them as heavy and limited in performance, which was typical of padel rackets at the time.

In 1992 Royal Padel began using different types of rubber combined with glass fibre fabrics and epoxy resin. The brand describes this as the first important step towards the composite rackets it makes today, and the point at which its rackets' performance improved noticeably.

The brand is Catalan and runs its office and after-sales service from Barcelona. Royal Padel states that its rackets are designed and made in house by engineers with more than 30 years of experience, and that each racket is hand-made and individually weighed so buyers can choose a weight within the stated range. Retailers describe the rackets as produced in Spain.

A recurring theme in Royal Padel's range is comfort for the arm. The brand says its rackets are built to help prevent epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and shoulder injuries, using soft cores and its Shock Absorption system to reduce vibration. The Aniversario line, renamed each year to mark the brand's age (35 Aniversario in 2025, 36 Aniversario in 2026), is presented as its most arm-friendly racket.

The Whip models, in polyethylene and EVA versions, are named on the brand's history page as rackets with a strong following among experienced Spanish players, and the M27 is described by the brand as one of its best-known models. Both lines continue in the 2026 range.

Royal Padel has backed professional players on the World Padel Tour and Premier Padel. In February 2019 Argentine player Fede Quiles joined the brand from Top Force, joining a team that already included Toni Bueno, Adrià Mercadal and Sara Pujals. In 2026 the brand states that Roger Aromí, from Mataró, uses the R ACE 2026 on the Premier Padel circuit.

The company also runs the Royal Padel Academy, directed by Fede Vives, which offers coaching programmes in Barcelona and international programmes for clubs, coaches and players.

Today the range is sold through royalpadel.com and through retailers including Decathlon, Padel Nuestro, Tennis Warehouse Europe and Padel Reference. The 2026 rackets are grouped as Intermedio, Competición and Pro Series, with prices on the official site of up to 350 euros.
