According to the Spanish industry site Padel Cluster, pallap was founded in 2023 in the United Kingdom by a group of investors with three decades of experience in the sports industry, among them Christophe Dessalles. The brand's own team page describes Chris Dessalles as an entrepreneur with more than 20 years in the sports industry.

The brand name combines 'padel' and 'slap', which pallap says reflects the rhythm of the racket hitting the ball and then the wall. Its team includes players, coaches, engineers and creatives from several countries.

pallap launched in June 2024. Padel Cluster reported that within seven months it was present in more than 25 countries, with about half of manufacturing taking place in Spain and European materials used throughout.

Its technical story centres on basalt and carbon. The Rocksolid Bridge Stabilizer places carbon basalt fibres in the throat of the racket to add stiffness and damp vibration, and top models use 15K basalt carbon, Italian 12K carbon and an aluminium-coated Italian 15K carbon.

In December 2024 PALLAP Sport USA, led by Phil Mintz, a racket sports executive formerly with Dunlop, HEAD and Penn, launched the brand in North America with the Power Velocity and Control Velocity series.

Coaching and playing ambassadors include eight times world champion Paula Eyheraguibel and 1994 world champion Mariano Llanos, both from Argentina, French international Elodie Invernon and UK-ranked player George Weller.

The 2026 collection widened the range with the EvoFORCE family, Star models, Made in Spain Pro rackets and new kids' rackets, alongside a UK-priced web shop.
